After feeling unchallenged with my first career as a registered dietitian, I realized I had an entrepreneurial spirit, a dream and creativity that was not being fulfilled. It was 1997 and I started to research franchises on the Internet. After a year of research, I decided to go back to school and learn the basics of website architecture.

Wow how the Internet has grown. At PLG, we have constantly studied, watched and learned the new and increasingly amazing applications to build stunning interactive websites and other multimedia. Joe has been in the Internet business since 1995, when many of today’s webmasters were still in junior high, so his commitment to staying on the cutting edge of design and application blends perfectly with the perspective of a designer who has been participating in the on-line revolution for over ten years.

While the nutrition services coordinator at Bread & Roses, Joe’s instinctive technology savvy was always in demand – the unofficial IT man in an organization where employees must wear many hats.

When he was asked to create the first intranet for the Birmingham, Alabama women’s and children’s shelter, the satisfaction of creating in a new technology driven medium just beginning to demonstrate its culture-shifting potential left Joe with only one option: start a interactive design firm and call it poplifegraphics.

Joe’s passion is living an alter ego as a deejay and mixer of International Dance/Electronica music, and if you’ve bumped into him at a dance club in Amsterdam or Miami, you may just know him as dj SIAE.

Joe graduated from Samford University with a B.S. in Dietetics.
